Adaptive Sit Ski Program | Seminar & Ski Lessons
Saturday-Sunday, February 20-21
Free
This year Madison Winter Festival will again be offering a Sit Ski Program for people with physical disabilities. Participants will be presented with an opportunity to attend a seminar followed by a session of skiing on the Capitol Square. Sandy Metzger (USSA Adaptive Program Director) and Jon Kreamelmeyer (Adaptive Cross-Country Head Coach) will be the program guests and run the seminar and technique sessions during the weekend. Skiing will also be offered on Sunday. Equipment will be provided for use during the event. Volunteers will instruct and assist with lifts and transfers for skiers on each of the days.
If somebody in your family or friends has a physical disability we encourage you to do the following:
- Let them know about the program and come to ski together
- Provide them with the link to this page
- Have them register (RSVP with name and contact information for you and your guest(s) to Irina Komarova at irina@winter-fest.com)
And come together, encourage your family member/friend/coworker all the way through! It can be fun!
